I don’t know about the rest of the world, but things are definitely heating up here in the great state 48, Arizona! We have already reached temperatures of almost 100 degrees in April, which means protecting your skin is a priority! I have included a few of my essential daily products to keep my skin healthy through these long, hot summer months.
Maybelline BB Cream is my first go to product. It sets the stage for my makeup for the day. It isn’t a foundation, it is actually a tinted moisturizer. So you get the coverage you want, while also being kind to your skin. As if being a moisturizer isn’t enough, this product also contains a titanium dioxide sunscreen with broad spectrum SPF 30!
The next product is my new favorite! Colorscience brush on sunscreen; yep you heard right, BRUSH ON! As in, it is makeup! This is a total game changer. It is a powdered makeup sunscreen that comes in various tints to match your skin tone. It is recommended that you reapply sunscreen every 2 hours and this is the perfect way to reapply on top of your makeup!
No matter how much protecting agents you use, you are bound to have some dead skin. This ORG Skincare Mineral Peel Face is the best, most gentle exfoliant there is! You simply spray it on your face, wait a few seconds, then gently exfoliate and you can visibly see the dead skin coming up to unveil healthy new skin underneath. It is hands down, the most gentle, non abrasive exfoliant I have ever used.
Protecting your skin provides so many benefits. Extended youth, vibrant beauty, and long lasting health! Find affiliate links to purchase each of these amazing beauty products by clicking on their image!
I consider myself to be a fairly low maintenance gal when it comes to my daily routine but there are 5 products that I can not live without!
EOS Lip Balm: Seriously the softest chapstick known to man. During the winter my lips get so dried out. With other chapsticks I find myself applying and reapplying all day. Not with my EOS; once in the morning and once at night! You can find this product at my affiliate link by clicking on the following picture.
Maybelline Dream BB Cream: I don’t wear foundation because it clogs my pores but I do wear a tinted moisturizer every day and this is the one to get! I’m from Arizona and I have fair skin so I need all the sun protection I can get. It contains a titanium dioxide sunscreen with SPF 30 to last all day. Its also super lightweight which I love; hate caking makeup on my face and into my pores! You can find this product at my affiliate link by clicking on the following picture.
Express Smile Atlanta Teeth Whitening Kit: Confession time, I’m a Dr. Pepper addict. I usually have at least one per day. Colas and other dark sodas can leave you with some seriously unruly stains on your teeth. I rely on the Express Smile Atlanta at Home Whitening Kit to keep my smile from fading! I whiten every night for 2 weeks, every 3-4 months as needed. Such a life saver, cause lets be real, I’m never quitting you DP.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: The greatest alternate to dry shampoo, hands down. I try to go 3 days usually before I wash my hair and this product makes that possible. Most dry shampoos leave your hair with a white tint to it. This product isn’t a dry shampoo so that won’t be a problem! Not only does it absorb the oils on your scalp, but it adds lift to your roots giving the illusion of clean, lively hair. I tend to have lack luster, and non voluminous hair anyway, so I will even use this on days my hair is clean to give it that extra boost it needs. Coco Mademoiselle Parfum by Chanel: I will stand by this statement for as long as I live. Coco Mademoiselle is the best smelling perfume on the entire planet. I love Chanel perfumes, however I find that No. 5 and No. 19 can sometimes (and don’t bite my head off), smell a little “old lady-ish.” Coco Mademoiselle has such a young, fresh scent that lasts all day long with just a dab on my wrist and neck. I’m always looking for new things to try out so if you think I’d like something you use feel free to leave it in the comment section below!
Beauty subscription boxes are all the rage in the beauty industry now. You pay a monthly fee to have hand selected beauty items shipped directly to your doorstep. Most subscriptions are just sample size products to try out, whereas others include full size beauty products. With 2017 quickly approaching and the “new year, new me” mentality brewing, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and see what the hype was all about.I decided to sign up for 3 monthly subscription boxes and review them.
So obviously the first box I chose was the FabFitFun box. This is debatably one of the most popular subscription boxes out there. Many of the celebrities subscribe to this service, so joining definitely made me feel like part of the “IT” crowd. This is a seasonal beauty, fitness, and wellness box that contains approximately $200 worth of merchandise. It costs $49.99 per box and the boxes are delivered every 3 months. The items in each box are tailored towards the specific season. So for example the Winter box contains a coffee mug, a blanket scarf, and other cold weather things! This box is definitely the one I am the most excited about! They are running a special right now and you can get your first box for only $39.99 using the code “DONTBETARDY” Sign up with my affiliate code: http://xo.fff.me/flN2M
The next box I signed up for was Lip Monthly. Lips have been the talk of the beauty game for the past several months so it’s no surprise to me that there is a whole beauty box dedicated solely to lip products. Lip Monthly contains 4-5 full size lip products and is delivered to your door once a month for only $12.95. This subscription box isn’t quite as popular as some of the others, most likely due to the fact that it only contains one type of beauty product as opposed to others. One unique thing about Lip Monthly is that the products come in a different makeup bag each month. Heaven knows you can never have too many makeup bags! They are currently running a sale that is 50% off your first bag which means you get 4-5 full size products for a little over a dollar per item! HOLLA!
The third and final subscription box I signed up for is considered the “OG” when it comes to beauty boxes and that is Birchbox. Birchbox was one of the first to implement this idea of hand selected sample beauty items to try out from the luxury of your own home. With Birchbox, you take a beauty survey stating your hair and skin tone, as well as what types of products you most enjoy. This survey is supposed to help tailor the products directly towards you. I have heard some pretty skeptical reviews of Birchbox lately so I’m interested to see how my first month with them turns out. Birchbox is also a monthly delivery service and the subscription price is $10/month. And of course, they have a killer deal going on right now for the holidays as well. Sign up for Birchbox today with the code “TWOFORONE” and get a second Birchbox with mystery samples for free! Can’t be that! And the best part is, if you don’t like something you can regift it for the holidays!
